Round Top ANTIQUE WEEK {Spring 10}: Miranda Lambert’s Airstream by The Junk Gypsy Co.
About a month or so ago The Junk Gypsy Company announced their newest BIG-O project deluxe… to turn a vintage 1953 Flying Cloud Airstream into a rockin’, road worthy saloon on wheels for Super Star, Country Star, Ms. Miranda Lambert as she sets off on her new tour, Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars!!

Along the way the Junk Gypsy crew launched a new blog {right HERE}chronicling the Airstream Adventures; pulled off a killer set up at the flea market in Warrenton {pics HERE}; and also managed to throw the party of the year ~ the legendary Junk Gypsy PROM {Facebook PICS HERE}. Phew ~ I don’t know how they do it all but I’m guessing it’s all those buttermilk biscuits, Texas-sized ding dongs, and java runs!! {look how gorgeous these girls are ~ I don’t think they’re really eating the ding dongs…}

So when I showed up in Warrenton last week I was excited to see Miranda Lambert’s new AIRSTREAM up close and personal and I’m even happier to be sharing the pics right here!! enjoy….

Each of the BARSTOOLS {ABOVE} have a different word on them… the girls couldn’t decide if they should say”Thelma & Louise”, or “Me & Bobbie McGee”… so after a phone call to Mama Lambert it was determined that one says “Lover” and the other says “Fighter”. Why?? Cause when you’re drinkin’ you’re either a LOVER or a FIGHTER. Yes, Ma’am.

A challenge was sconces because everything was 12 volts, so they used marine lights and this old car light that Matt White from Excess found in a car lot in New York.
THERE IS SOOO
MUCH MORE TO SEE…
Read MORE after the break below.

These DRUM TABLES may be one of my very favorite things in the AIRSTREAM… I’m thinkin’ that there’s going to be a run on old drums. LOOK OUT junkers, drums are now a sacred find…

NOTE: The metal guitar with wings in the nose of the AIRSTREAM {pic above} says “Just like a Gypsy” and it was made by Texas Trash & Treasures ~ texas artists who have a store in Carmine, Texas.

P.S.
p.s. a couple more pics for you!! One of Miranda seeing the airstream the first time, and also one of Miranda with the whole Junk Gypsy Family.
You know all of this started from one little tune that Miranda wrote for the Junk Gypsies ~ “Airstream Song”.
‘Cause we all share one BIG gypsy heart!!
Sometimes I wish I lived in an Airstream
Homemade curtains, lived just like a gypsy
Break a heart, roll out of town
‘Cause gypsies never get tied down
Sometimes I wish I lived on a mountain
Drank from a stream instead of a fountain
I’d stay there, top of the world
But I was born a red dirt girl
Unbridled or tethered and tied
The safety of the fence or the danger of the ride
I’ll always be unsatisfied
Sometimes I wish I lived by a pier
In a lighthouse with a chandelier
I’d watch everybody’s ships come in
And then I’d sail away with them
Unanchored in the storm
Or safely on the shore
If this is all I need, why do I want more
Sometimes I wish I lived in an airstream
Homemade curtains, lived just like a gypsy

I know the girls worked their little fannies (and Phillip’s) off getting this bad boy ready. Their love (and attention) to detail shines! Totally love the vinyl.
