Round Top ANTIQUE WEEK {Fall 09}: Marburger Farm’s 2 GIRL’S STUFF
On this beautiful Monday morning, almost 3 weeks after Round Top Antique Week, I am finally wrapping it up for Fall 09. There is actually more to post {yes, there is that much to see and do!!} but it’ll have to wait and come slowly over the next few weeks. We have other things to attend to ~ like our October GIVEAWAY which I’ll post tomorrow a.m.
I’ve saved something very special for my last Round Top post, my absolute FAVORITE booth from the whole trip… it is 2 girls stuff, owned by Marie and Rhonda, who were located at Marburger Farm.
When I walked into the booth I literally had to catch my breath. The merchandising, assortment, colors, style, vibe… it was all spot-on. I’ve looked at these pictures so many times in the last couple of weeks, seeking inspiration for the Cactus Creek STORE.
2 girls stuff had no fear. They used broken pots tipped over and filled with sand and cactus… The side of a Cadillac mounted & lighted for a killer statement. Industrial tables, peeling paint, old arrows… and the Pièce de résistance ~ an old Firebird hood mounted on the wall. LOVE.
I’m thinking that I’ll design the store windows for the holidays similar to this vibe. Attempt it anyway… these girls have creativity oozing from everywhere!! Not only that, Marie {the girl I visited with forever} has the warmest heart and best soul… her story touched me and I can hardly wait to stay in touch!!!
