NEW Jewelry at Old Territorial Indian Arts
The folks at Old Territorial Indian Arts have recently acquired five different estates of wonderful old Indian jewelry… all from old Arizona collectors who bought great jewelry back in the day.
Take a peek and get ready to SWOON…

Lavina Tsikewa Coral Bird Fetish Necklace
Two strands of natural red coral bird fetishes are carved by Lavina Tsikewa, daughter of David and Mary Tsikewa. Fifty-nine dainty birds are strung on Santo Domingo heishe with turquoise heishe.
Carved in the 1970s when you could get really good red Mediterranean coral; Lavina learned from her famous parents.

Hopi Wicker Eagle Basket
Hopi Indian wicker basketry tray with the eagle, from Third Mesa. This vintage Hopi basket is from 1960s, some fade to the orange.
The Eagle tray is important to the Hopi, it is a thank you for the eagle’s life and gift of feathers. Note the rain band.

Old Zuni Indian Turquoise Earrings
Great looking Zuni Indian turquoise dangle earrings, circa 1960s. Excellent quality stones and silver work.

Old Navajo Indian Silver Bead Necklace
Lovely old silver beads, handcrafted Navajo Indian circa 1970s are fluted in the old style. Disks of silver are hammered over a metal form to create the fluted texture and dome, then two are soldered together to create the bead.
I was at an event last week where I saw a woman who looked like she had stepped straight out of a Double D Ranch photo shoot… pretty blue dress, brown boots and LAYERS of turquoise and beads like these. She looked stunning and reminded me that you can have very pretty, simple clothes {and inexpensive for those of us on a budget} ~~ just pile on the jewelry for GREAT STYLE!! These beads are an excellent investment and they’ll NEVER go out of fashion.
PLUS the divine Turquoise bracelet on our WISH LIST… that would be SUCH a good Christmas gift for me {subtle hints aren’t going to work, girls, just put it out there!!}
