One of the things we love most about rustic weddings is that there are so many different interpretations of the word “rustic”, which is why every wedding is unique and distinct. One trend we have been watching over here at Whispering Pines is the idea of mixing in a gingham pattern with the wedding decor. One reason why gingham works so well for a “rustic” wedding is because it mixes in a bit of a country feel without going over the top. Gingham comes in so many different colors- you can have a black and white gingham or a yellow and white or go for the traditional red and white.
Another reason why we love this pattern is because for some reason it really evokes the feel of summertime and all of those fun summertime actives.
