WILD+RIDE #24… Classic.

April is going to be a craaazy month here at the cactus with four shows in five weeks… so, for our daily pic we are doing WILD RIDES. Check out our FACEBOOK PAGE to see the whole month of WILD+RIDES and also our Pinterest Board HERE.

In the constant vigil to be as healthy as possible I found this info this morning that I thought was interesting… there is no way that the boys & I can eat organic all of the time {no tengo enough dinero}.  But according to Dr. Oz’s blog these foods are the “Dirty Dozen” to try and always buy organic bc they have the  highest pesticide levels in them:

1. Apples
2. Celery
3. Strawberries
4. Peaches
5. Spinach
6. Nectarines (imported)
7. Grapes (imported)
8. Sweet bell peppers
9. Potatoes
10. Blueberries (domestic)
11. Lettuce
12. Kale or collard greens

WILD+RIDE #23… what was your first ride??  Mine was a 1979 Peugeot almost exactly like this one… it ran on diesel, had a hand crank sun roof, and after factory automatic windows…
I would LOVE to have that car again.

The best friends are the ones who bring you eggs fresh from their chicken coops… {and home made lasagna which will be dinner tonight}.   Thank you Katie G!!  Love you madly.

According to Mother Earth News farm fresh eggs have 1⁄3 less cholesterol + 1⁄4 less saturated  fat + 2⁄3 more vitamin A + 2 times more omega-3  fatty acids + 3 times more vitamin E + 7 times  more beta carotene.  New test results show that pastured egg producers are kicking the commercial  industry’s derriere when it comes to vitamin D! Eggs from hens raised on pasture  show 4 to 6 times as much vitamin D as typical  supermarket eggs.

Played hooky this afternoon to pull old doors off of a barn… beautiful day, mini road trip, good friend & killer crusty old doors.  Good times. Happy life.
