Remember the cow craze from 1988??  When everything was black & white spotted cow and it was the hippest new trend for KUNTRY Decorating {note: that’s country with a K}.  We’re a long, long way from that dreadful stain on rustic decor but the COW CRAZE has not faded, just sophisticated and spread through all drections of interior style. 

At the Cactus Creek Store we have been selling cowhides since we opened the doors over 11 years ago.  I can’t begin to imagine how many hides I’ve sold through the years… surely a thousand or more.  We have just put a few new ones on our ETSY site and as always, each one is unique and special and perfect for someone’s home or office.

As I photographed each hide I wondered where it would end up… whose home it would go to and how they would use it.  We had some great ideas in our Cowhide Decorating GUIDE from this summer… and there is no end to all of the things you can do with COWS!!!  Here are a few things I put together in a “Sophisticated Cow” ETSY Treasury… enjoy!!
